30 teachers, psychologists, social workers and school principals are coming to Warsaw on Sunday, 21 April, to take part in the first training on trauma-informed care within the framework of the project “Trauma-informed care for Ukrainian schools”.
The participants will spend a week in Warsaw and will learn about fundamentals of trauma and trauma-informed care, as well as how to support oneself and how to interact with traumatized children, how to help develop self-regulation and build your own strategies of work in the context of trauma.
The participants for the 1st training have been selected from the regions under temporary occupation – such as Kyiv region, as well as those currently under massive attacks and shelling – Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions.
We are looking forward to the first training and do hope it will not only be an event where our participants can acquire new useful knowledge and skills, but also a place of support, solidarity and rest from the reality of war.
