She Can: Empowering Women in EU Integration and City Partnerships

Projektübersicht
“She Can II” widmet sich der Stärkung der gesellschaftlichen und politischen Teilhabe von Frauen in der Ukraine. In einem Land, das sich auf den Weg in Richtung eines möglichen EU-Beitritts befindet, ist die Förderung weiblicher Führungskompetenzen auf kommunaler Ebene von entscheidender Bedeutung. Unser Projekt zielt darauf ab, Frauen durch gezielte Trainings in Projektmanagement, Fundraising und EU-Beitrittsprozessen zu befähigen, in ihren Gemeinden als kompetente und einflussreiche Akteurinnen aufzutreten.
Projektziele
Qualifizierung und Stärkung der demokratischen Teilhabe von Frauen: Durch gezielte Seminare werden Frauen in der Ukraine mit den notwendigen Fähigkeiten und Kenntnissen ausgestattet, um aktiv an politischen Prozessen teilzunehmen.
Förderung des EU-Beitrittsprozesses: Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt des Projekts liegt auf der Identifizierung notwendiger Verbesserungen in ukrainischen Gemeinden, um diese an EU-Standards anzupassen. Durch Forschungsarbeiten und die Erstellung eines Policy-Papiers mit konkreten Empfehlungen sollen verschiedene Bereiche wie z.B. Umwelt und Inklusion gezielt weiterentwickelt werden. Die Frauen erhalten in den Seminaren umfassende Einblicke in die EU-Beitrittsprozesse und -standards, was ihnen ermöglicht, die Anforderungen und Vorteile einer EU-Integration besser zu verstehen und umzusetzen.
Internationale Vernetzung: Das Projekt fördert die Beziehungen zwischen deutsch-ukrainischen Städtepartnerschaften durch Online-Austauschtreffen, thematische Diskussionen und eine Bildungsreise. Diese Aktivitäten schaffen Plattformen für den Dialog und das Networking mit relevanten staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Institutionen, um die Projektziele nachhaltig zu unterstützen.
Unsere Mission
Mit She Can II möchten wir die Voraussetzungen dafür schaffen, dass Frauen aktiv zur Gestaltung ihrer Gemeinden beitragen können. Gleichzeitig unterstützen wir die Ukraine auf ihrem Weg in die Europäische Union, indem wir das Wissen über die Integration in EU-Standards fördern und die Zusammenarbeit mit deutschen Partnern intensivieren.

In October, Ukrainian female civic leaders participated in a study visit to Berlin as part of the "She Can: Empowering Women in EU Integration and City Partnerships" project. Over the course of a week, they delved into the fundamentals of European integration, explored new ideas for research, and advocated for the importance of Ukraine’s inclusion in the EU. Now, they are sharing their achievements, inspiring others on the path toward European standards and inclusion.

❇️ALINA KOZITSKA, Head of the Youth Council of Mariupol, Leader of the NGO "IAMariupol.Youth" and Deputy Head of the NGO "Ukrainian Association of Youth Councils". Alina works on a national level, training youth workers and implementing initiatives that help engage young people in driving change within communities. Her projects create opportunities for the development of youth initiatives in every corner of Ukraine.
❇️KATERYNA PUGACHOVA, Project Manager at Folkuniversitetet (Sweden) and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. Kateryna specializes in ensuring the quality of vocational education by coordinating international projects such as Erasmus+ and Horizon. She promotes innovation in digitalization, sustainable development, and labor market integration, fostering collaboration between Ukrainian and European educational institutions.
❇️YULIA BORISOVA, Program Director of the NGO "Fishing Club of Ukraine", Project Coordinator for Responsible Parenting, and Trainer of Youth Camps. Yulia collaborates with educational and youth initiatives, introducing innovative programs at the national level. Her efforts focus on supporting active young people and creating opportunities for their development.
❇️OLHA IVANICHENKO, Lawyer with over 10 years of experience, activist in humanitarian projects. Olha has participated in initiatives aimed at assisting victims of war, collaborating with international organizations and communities. She carries out tasks focused on ensuring human rights and helps create conditions for an inclusive society.

🎉 Wrapping Up the Year with "She Can: Empowering Women in EU Integration and City Partnerships"! Reflecting on an incredible year, we celebrate the achievements of "She Can: Empowering Women in EU Integration and City Partnerships." Together, we took meaningful steps toward empowering women, fostering collaboration, and promoting inclusivity.
❇️In Germany, we organized comprehensive training for Ukrainian women activists and community leaders. The program included visits to the Berlin Parliament, meetings with German parliamentarians and civil society leaders, workshops on project management and fundraising in the public sector, EU integration and more.
❇️ In Ukraine, we conducted a training session in Mukachevo empowering women activists and community leaders to support Ukraine’s path for the EU integration.

🌟 Empowering Women for Ukraine’s Integration Path into the EU: Training in Mukachevo 🌟
We’re thrilled to share the success of a training held in Mukachevo, Ukraine! Over the course of four intensive days, 10 incredible women from different cities across Ukraine came together to explore the complexities of European integration, research methodologies, and policy writing. 🌍📚
The program was packed with engaging sessions, including:
✅ A deep dive into the EU's institutional structures and legal principles.
✅ Hands-on training in data collection, analysis, and research planning.
✅ Workshops on writing impactful policy briefs and adapting legislation to EU norms.
This training not only equipped participants with valuable knowledge but also fostered connections and collaboration among strong, motivated women working towards a shared vision for Ukraine’s future. 💪✨
